Inspiring through Storytelling
The major themes of “Seeing Eye Girl: A Memoir of Madness, Resilience, and Hope” include:
- Childhood trauma and its short and long-term effects
- The important role of trusted adult mentors–especially teachers, counselors, coaches—in the lives of vulnerable kids
- The critical roles of HOPE AND RESILIENCE in the survival and health of traumatized children and adults
Today there is considerable research on each of these themes.
In my writing and speaking I aim to integrate the research and my own life and professional experience with practical applications for individuals in educational, medical, psychological, and religious settings.
